Wayne is a dedicated philanthropist and community advocate with a passion for making a difference in the lives of others. With over 25 years of experience in nonprofit work starting at his church, Wayne has tirelessly championed causes close to his heart, from supporting underprivileged young adults, JDRF, CRF, and feeding the homeless to advocating for environmental sustainability. Wayne is a successful entrepreneur, active member of his local church, has a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life, offering not just material support but also emotional encouragement and mentorship.

His new foray into philanthropic work will begin in his hometown Red Springs, North Carolina, located in the rural southern part of the state. While visiting family and friends, he noticed a specific need in the young adults in the community that ignited an urgency to make a difference. Through observation and listening to some of their challenges, he established a non-profit which is the resource agent to facilitate change in the community.  Often in most scenarios, the rural areas across the nation are left out or hard to reach for various reasons.  Wayne’s empathetic nature and unwavering dedication have led him to spearhead the Nehemiah Project which will be sponsored by the Bethea Legacy Foundation.
